Press Release
Braunschweig, July 24, 2025 – Grouplink Holding GmbH (“Grouplink”), a portfolio company of Patrimonium Private Equity and Wille Finance, headquartered in Braunschweig, has acquired ASPICON GmbH (“ASPICON”), based in Chemnitz, Germany. The acquisition strengthens Grouplink’s position as an integrated IT service provider in the German-speaking region, and competence in the area of database infrastructures.
As a Managed Service Provider with highly specialized expertise, ASPICON supports the design, implementation, and operation of business-critical IT systems, with a particular focus on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases, as well as container and automation technologies.
With the integration of ASPICON, Grouplink increases its ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects and to effectively respond to the growing demand for scalable and data protection-compliant IT solutions. Customers will benefit from a broad-based technology partner that manages critical systems from a single source – from network security to high-performance database operations.
Dirk Melzer and Steffen Fenger, co-founders and previous co-owners of ASPICON, will continue to manage ASPICON as managing directors and drive synergies with Grouplink. Personnel continuity ensures a seamless transition – both for employees and for customers – while laying a solid foundation for further development of the service offering.
“The integration of ASPICON into our group is a significant milestone in the implementation of our growth strategy and in strengthening our market position in the DACH region. The additional expertise of our colleagues from ASPICON enhances our capabilities, and we can offer Grouplink customers complementary services in the area of database management. We are pleased to have Dirk Melzer and Steffen Fenger on board as experienced partners who share our vision and will help us shape the future together,” said Christian Partzsch, Managing Director of Grouplink Holding GmbH.
“The merger with the Grouplink Group opens up new opportunities for us to further strengthen our market position and offer our customers an even more comprehensive service portfolio. At the same time, we are securing long-term prospects and new career paths for our employees. I look forward to the shared future and the exciting projects ahead of us,” added Dirk Melzer.
With now 250 employees, Grouplink is steadily expanding its position as a leading IT service provider in the DACH region through targeted acquisitions and organic growth.
