The 2025 M2 Speed Tour season concluded with a strong performance from our M2 catamaran Patrimonium, which finished 3rd overall, behind the teams of “G. Hominal et ses fils” (1st) and DCM Systematic (2nd).
This remarkable result reflects the passion, strategic focus, and cohesion of our crew throughout the year.
The M2 is a 28-foot carbon catamaran, designed in 2004 by Christian Favre. To promote this powerful and fast boat, M2 owners came together to form an association and launch a dedicated competition: the M2 Speed Tour. Each year, around a dozen M2s compete from May to September in this championship, which in 2025 ran from May 3 to September 27.
The circuit includes two types of events: Grand Prix regattas exclusively for M2 boats, and two major races — the Genève–Rolle–Genève and the Bol d’Or du Léman.
From the very first Grand Prix in Nyon, the Patrimonium crew — Loïc Preitner (skipper), Yannick Preitner, Micha Fréléchoux, Elouan Gäumann, Romain Lenormand, and Adrien Bader — demonstrated its competitiveness with a 3rd place finish. The team continued to deliver strong results, including a victory at the Grand Prix de Versoix, a solid performance at the Genève–Rolle–Genève, and a 3rd place in its category at the iconic Bol d’Or du Léman.
The second half of the season, held on Lake Thun, confirmed this momentum with several podium finishes — including a first place on the final day of the Grand Prix in Spiez. Thanks to this consistency, the team secured a well-deserved spot on the final podium.
This season also marked the 20th anniversary of the M2 class — a significant milestone for a series that continues to push the boundaries of performance and innovation in light sailing.
Team Patrimonium has been competing in the M2 Speed Tour since 2010.
We warmly congratulate the entire crew on this exemplary season and look forward to seeing them back on the water in 2026.
