We are pleased to announce that Creative Factory in Renens (VD) has been awarded the Prix de l’Immobilier Romand 2026 in the Renovations and Transformations category. The award was presented on the 29th of September in Morges as part of the annual ceremony organized by SVIT Suisse romande and Bilan Magazine.
This distinction recognizes a project that demonstrates how the transformation and reuse of existing buildings can generate long-term value while contributing to more sustainable urban development. Rather than replacing an obsolete structure, the project focused on adapting and upgrading an existing logistics building, extending its life cycle and significantly reducing the environmental impact associated with new construction.
Developed on behalf of the listed Patrimonium Swiss Real Estate Fund, Creative Factory transformed a former Coop logistics centre located at Rue du Chêne 5 in Renens into a vibrant mixed-use destination combining residential lofts, workspaces and areas dedicated to training, creative activities and craftsmanship. The conversion was guided by a strong commitment to circular construction principles, including the reuse of existing materials and the optimization of the building’s energy performance.
The award was received by Agnès Haulbert, Fund Manager of the Patrimonium Swiss Real Estate Fund, and Patrick Landolt, Director Constructions, who oversaw the renovation project.
This latest recognition follows the project’s international success earlier this year, when Creative Factory was awarded the Architizer A+Award in the Residential Adaptive Reuse Project category. Together, these distinctions highlight the relevance of adaptive reuse strategies in addressing both environmental and real estate challenges while creating attractive living and working spaces.
We extend our congratulations to all the other laureates of the 2026 Prix de l’Immobilier Romand, whose projects showcase the quality, diversity and innovation of the Swiss real estate industry. This year’s winners include Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA (Office Buildings), UBS (Built Heritage Renovations), Horizon North SA (Mixed-Use Buildings), GRAGO SA (Condominium Housing), R2A architectes Sàrl (Villas) and Insula SA (Rental Housing).
We also wish to thank all partners who contributed to the success of Creative Factory, particularly Bauart Architects and Planners, Implenia and the many stakeholders whose expertise, commitment and collaboration made this ambitious transformation possible.
